That’s highly disrespectful and brings me back to when Joe Thornton made his comments about the Rangers not being a very good team. Lindgren is obviously in his head for him to make comments like that.

Marchand is a POS, he can't help himself. Only reason he would make such a demeaning comment about Lindgren is because he doesn't have to face him again this season.

Have to commend Buch for that retaliatory cross check. I don't think he does that a year ago, but you can see that this is really molding into a TEAM. Nice to see that they have each others backs ( literally ).

I thought Trouba played a VERY physical game as well.

I can't get too upset by this loss because Boston really is a top team and we never quit.

Wasnt a bad game, wasnt great either, best part of the game, Buchy's cross check from behind being a helmet popper.

So Coleman gets basically two first. The Foote kid is captain of his jr team and was a big piece of Canada’s world jr team. Again I hope the ranger management can get the most out of a few players that have been rumoured to get on team lists

Agree with everything you wrote. Especially impressed with Buch cross checking that rat bastard, just wish he aimed a bit higher. Like you said, team mentality and Buch finally showing some character.
Lindgren is turning into the next Beuk, he was great in the last two games and Trouba was a beast as well. Love having some snarl on D again.
The last thread was kind of a playoff debate, and this game against a top seed is why I don't think we are going to make the playoffs. Have to find a way to resign ADA and Kreids. Jan's comment about the goalie situation for the next game not even mentioning Hank is interesting...

Lundqvist has sat seven straight starts. Maybe he goes versus Chicago, but I could see him more likely playing against San Jose at home.

it's also Casino night night

it always amazes me that every single year they do this right in the midst of the week leading up to the deadline when there is so much stress going on

My gut feeling is they resign Kreider and he takes a little discount but with a NMC in his contract. 6years at 7 mill per. I know very well they could move him at the deadline and try and resign him in the offseason, but when does a player ever actually make a return to a team that traded him at the trade deadline? I can remember it happening like once. It’s going to be a real interesting next couple days. Still think they are in the thick of things. Just really strange that they signed Panarin and Trouba to huge contracts in there prime but wouldn’t try and find a way to keep Kreider who is arguably having his best season as a Ranger and we know how good he is in the playoffs. I think it would be a big step backwards to let him walk and what kind of message does that give the rest of the team? Again more assets are great but at some point you have to realize that those assets take time to develop. It’s going to be difficult to find someone who can fill Kreiders skates. Gorton has a difficult decision especially now in a Salary cap world

I definitely could see this happening

along with announcing him as the new captain

I think they are going to announce a captain next season and give Mika a huge contract with the C. I think you need to sell Kreider on the fact that we want to keep this core intact and we want to keep him and his best buddy around (Mika) long term.

Marchand’s comment is a good chirp on the ice but to say it to the media is flat out stupid and childish. But whatever
Great job by Buch there. And Lindgren is a tough SOB

Rangers looked flat at times but gotta give credit to the Bruins. They don’t give up much. Sticks and bodies in every lane. Frustrating to play against

For sure. They are the top team for a bunch of reasons.
So proud of Buch for that cross check! What a rat Marchand is. Just a horrible human being, and I don’t care what kind of charity work he might do. Any of it has to be PR driven optics. I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire.

Is there ANY chance that the Rangers trade Kreider at the deadline and re-sign him this summer? I know it rarely ever happens, but that would be amazing. It gives Kreider a chance at a cup, and with the assets they get back, the Rangers will be better for it too if he comes back. Makes perfect sense!

surprised no mention of 1st game back after a 3 gm road trip with sat. off & Boston in a back to back ,from bridge seats 1st period we were flat seemed patient but missing alot of passes & just seemed off ,afternoon kiddie crowd dosnt help the atmosphere ,place was not hopping till 10 min left when zib scored , our best lines were 3rd & 4th
Kk set up DiGuiseppe ,just didnt hit the corner over pad ,BUT our top guys seemed not urgent to find it , maybe worried about keeping top line off the board which they did till empty netter ,really thought 2nd period we would step on it & push Bruins to compete,But we basically lulled thru another period not playing with any intensity , gotta think D Q not pushing with some fire & brimstone act, just a shame he says we let this slip away ..gotta get ready for Chi? I D K i didnt sense a team in the push , looked like a Nov. game ,afternoon annoyer to player s?

The issue I have with trading Kreider at the deadline, is getting equal value back. No team is going to trade a valuable player already on the roster. Ok so we get a 1st rounder which probably ends up being a late pick and a top prospect. To mean it depends on which prospects we get. The 1st rounder doesn’t excite me.

Give me Byram & Newhook from Colorado if they want Kreider so badly.

You mean other than me writing this?
“ The Blueshirts were playing their fourth game in six days and third in four, so that might have impacted their play a bit. but the Bruins did play the day before, so both teams might have been slightly gassed.”

IDK, but this time it REALLY feels like it is that special case, doesn’t it?
I assume they can’t talk to him about such things, right?
